Dear Spiritual Children,
As Orthodox Christians we are to read the Holy Gospel everyday. But we read the Gospel all in order to do one thing ... to LIVE IT! What we take from reading the Gospel must be manifested in how we live our lives. By living the Gospel we are in essence 'evangelizing' or teaching people about the 'Good News of Salvation' which comes through knowing Christ.
So remember, reading the Gospel is a great start but do not let the words go in one ear and out the other. Make them a blessed reality ... Truth put into action. As St. Seraphin taught, let your life be one living prayer.
